President Obama speaks at CNSE

President Obama spoke at the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering today. President Obama would like to use CNSE as a model of for the whole country. It's the only school in the world that is dedicated to nanoscience and nanoengineering education. It has over 3000 member companies and will be the 450 mm fab in the world. It employees thosands of people in very high tech jobs too.

IOP Physics D special issue on graphene

Nanotech careers

The IEEE has posted a spot light on careers in nanotechnology in this article Nanotechnology: Big Opportunities for Those Who Think Small. It seems hard to believe that nanotechology is projected to be a $2.4T business by 2015. That includes all products that incorporate nanotechnology into either the manufacturing or the product itself. The IEEE is hosting the companion website TryNano to provide more information on nanotechnology, education, and careers in the field.
