Circuits and electronics 6.002x is the first open source course from MITx, and is now open for enrollment. The textbook Foundations of Analog and Digital Electronic Circuits, by Anant Agarwal and Jeffrey H. Lang is suggested. You can take to course for free and receive a certificate too.
The Guardian website has a special page, Nanotechnology World, dedicated to news on nanotechnology. The site is associated with NANOChannels which is an education/dialog project funded by the European Commission.

- FY2012 expenditure estimate: $1.697 Billion is less than requested and less than what was spend in FY2011 & F2010.
- FY2012 request: $2.1 Billion.
- FY2011 actually spent: $1.85 Billion.
- FY2010 peak expenditures: $1.9 Billion.

Nature Publishing has produce the special supplement Nature Outlook on Graphene. It's a collection of article published of the last couple of years on the material. The articles all appear to be open access (only looked a few so far).
