The nanoHUB is offering the new course Introduction to the Materials Science of Rechargeable Batteries and it begins on April 17. The course is instructor lead by Professor R. Edwin Garcia and costs only $30. The course is 5 weeks long and the lectures include:
- Week 1: Basic Concepts, Fundamentals, and Definitions
- Week 2: Thermodynamics of Battery Materials
- Week 3: Tortuosity and Porosity in Battery Materials
- Week 4: Reversible and Irreversible Interfacial Reactions
- Week 5: Rationalizing Classic and Advanced Battery Architectures and Design Guidelines
