Wikigenes is a wiki tool designed to promote open collaboration in synthetic biology. Wikigenes keeps information on each entry so that all information can be attributed and tacked by author. This allows information to be validated within a tool that allows anyone to change edit the information. The tool was started by started by Marianna Limas and Gerd Moe-Behrens, and supported by MIT and others.
